This automated shower assembly line features semi-manual loading for the housing, automatic feeding via vibratory bowl feeders, and manual unloading. Controlled by a PLC with a user-friendly touchscreen interface, it ensures stable and intuitive operation. Its gripping mechanism utilizes high-precision pneumatic components, including pneumatic slides and grippers, for reliable part handling. Designed for efficiency and low maintenance, the line balances automated processes with manual oversight to deliver consistent, high-quality finished products.

    Machine Functions:

     

     

    Step Process Name Description
    1 Waterway Feeding The waterway component is fed into the dedicated assembly line via an automated feeding system.
    2 O-ring Assembly Sealing O-rings are automatically installed onto the waterway to ensure watertight connections.
    3 O-ring Inspection Machine vision or mechanical inspection verifies that the O-rings are correctly seated, undamaged, and properly positioned.
    4 Outlet Cap Tightening The outlet cap is threaded onto the waterway and tightened to the specified torque to secure the assembly.
    5 Housing Feeding The shower housing is fed into the main assembly line.
    6 Waterway Assembly The pre-assembled waterway is inserted into the shower housing.
    7 Snap-Fit Assembly Retaining clips or snap-fit components are installed to lock the waterway and housing together.
    8 Diverter Shaft Assembly The flow control diverter shaft is installed into the assembly.
    9 Button Assembly (Line 1) The control button for the diverter is assembled.
    10 Secondary Snap-Fit Assembly Additional snap-fit components are installed to complete the housing assembly.
    11 Secondary Button Assembly The final control button assembly step is completed.
    12 Air Leak Test #1 The first round of pneumatic leak testing is performed to check for water/air leaks in the sealed assembly.
    13 Air Leak Test #2 A second, independent leak test is conducted to verify the sealing performance at different pressure points.
    14 Finished Product Unloading The fully assembled and tested shower component is unloaded from the line, with defective parts automatically rejected at test stations.
